This policy explains what information Elegantzoecleans collects when you use our website, how we use it, who we share it with and what choices you have. Plain words, no legalese where we can avoid it.

1. Who we are

Elegantzoecleans is an online platform that publishes short, equipment-free workout sessions and a routine planner. Our office is located at Aleksanterinkatu 15, 00100 Helsinki, Finland. For privacy questions you can contact us using the form on the Contacts page or by phone at +358 10 231 3000.

2. What information we collect

We try to collect as little personal data as possible. The categories of information we may process are:

  • Contact details you send us through the website form, such as your name, email address and the content of your message.
  • Account information if you create a profile, including a username, password hash, language preference and chosen plan.
  • Technical information automatically logged by our servers, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and timestamps of requests.
  • Usage information about how you interact with the platform, including which sessions you open and how long you stay on a page.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive categories of personal data and we ask you not to send them to us through the website forms.

3. Why we use this information

We process your information only for clear purposes:

  • To reply to messages you send us and to keep a record of our communication.
  • To provide the platform, including saving your routine and remembering basic preferences.
  • To keep the website safe, prevent abuse and investigate possible security incidents.
  • To meet legal obligations, for example keeping billing records for the period required by Finnish law.
  • To improve our content based on aggregated, non-identifying usage statistics.

4. Legal grounds

We rely on different legal grounds depending on the situation. For contact form messages and account services we rely on our contractual relationship with you and your consent. For technical logs and security we rely on our legitimate interest in operating a safe website. Where consent is required we ask for it clearly and you can withdraw it at any time.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with trusted service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting providers, email infrastructure and payment processors. These providers act on our instructions under written agreements and only for the purposes set out in this policy. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

6. International transfers

Our service providers are mostly located within the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on legally recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and assess the protection offered in the recipient country.

7. How long we keep information

We keep contact form messages for up to twenty four months after the last reply. Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle billing and legal claims. Technical logs are kept for short retention windows, typically thirty to ninety days.

8. Your rights

Under European data protection law you have rights regarding your personal information, including:

  • The right to know what data we hold about you and to receive a copy of it.
  • The right to correct inaccurate information.
  • The right to ask us to erase your data when there is no good reason for us to keep it.
  • The right to restrict or object to certain types of processing.
  • The right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman if you believe we have not handled your data properly.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us from the Contacts page. We will reply within one month.

9. Security

We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risks involved. This includes encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, regular updates and limiting who on the team can see personal information. No system is completely secure, but we treat your data with the care we would want for our own.

10. Children

The platform is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under sixteen. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

11. Updates to this policy

We may change this policy from time to time, for example when we introduce new features or when laws change. The latest version will always be on this page with a fresh update date at the top.
